Meyer Center for Special Children

To provide full and partial scholarships for 41 students for speech, occupational and physical therapy, along with educational services.

To train and mentor 25 new teachers in "SmartARTS", a successful program that has used arts integration intensively in Upstate classrooms for more than 12 years.

Toward replacing aged and obsolete kitchen equipment and upgrading HVAC and lighting systems used in their meal program for the elderly and disabled.

Faces and Voices of Recovery (FAVOR)

Grant Amount: $60,000

To provide certification classes for volunteer coaches in order to continue core family programs and expand the Intervention and children's programs. FAVOR expects to serve 640 first-time clients with this grant.

To support the "Save-A-Smile" program in Greenville County, an initiative of Catholic Charities of the Upstate, which will serve 150 low-income individuals in need of dentures in the coming year.

For a pilot program that will intensively target 40 at-risk 8th graders at League Academy, a charter middle school, as they transition to high school.
