Spotlight on Health: Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies

Pregnant women in South Carolina are dying at alarming rates, and 80% of those deaths are preventable. Our state ranks the highest in the United States for maternal mortality, and Black mothers have a four times greater risk than white mothers. We will explore this critical issue
and learn about two innovative programs making a difference in the upstate: the Magdalene Clinic and The Black Doula Project.
